Anesthesiologists and surgeons collaborate with other professionals to deliver high-value, evidence-based perioperative treatments to surgical patients. Worldwide, multiprofessional and multidisciplinary efforts are being realized and directed towards unified protocol for ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery), aimed at improvement of the quality of care, value of care, and outcomes of the patients. This presentation will discuss the influence of ERAS protocols on anesthetic and analgesic protocols in several surgical disciplines.
