AI is transforming One Health by enabling faster, more integrated pandemic preparedness, detection, and response across human, animal, and environmental health. Advanced tools like machine learning and data fusion make it possible to monitor, verify, and model outbreaks using diverse data streams. However, technology alone isn’t enough, where building an AI-ready workforce is critical. Public Health professionals must develop both technical skills and critical thinking to effectively use, question, and guide AI tools. Only through cross-disciplinary training can we fully realize AI’s potential to scale and strengthen One Health systems.
