This panel brings together three interrelated perspectives on the multifaceted experiences of mobility in migration. As Indonesia continues to experience significant migratory flows, both voluntary and forced, these presentations offer critical insights into the dynamics and ambivalences of modern migration, digital homemaking, and the complexities of transnational family life. Through an examination of Indonesian women's digital self-representation in the context of digital diaspora, the literary reflections of Indonesian writers in New York, and the educational aspirations of children separated from their migrant parents, the presentations collectively provide a multifaceted understanding of migration’s impact on personal, cultural, and familial dimensions. Together, these presentations offer a nuanced exploration of mobility and migration particularly on how agency and resilience emerge in the face of both opportunity and adversity.
