Last spring, the WorkLife Office presented a session on Dr. Michelle Williams' approach to “perspective taking” - listening to really understand another person’s inner perspective and experience before judging or reacting to outer perceptions. Many schools of thought and various authors promote this same principle, in different ways. As we struggle with new ways of communicating, learning and working together, this webinar will explore various ways of taking another’s perspective, building from Dr. Williams’ suggestions to actually practice taking different “perspectives” before assuming anything about one another.
