Recording of the plenary session “Coordinating Art Library Resources in Europe and Beyond: The Role of Professional Organizations" at the ARLIS/NA Annual Conference in New York City in 1990, moderated by Nancy Allen of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Nine speakers from European, Asian, and Oceanic art library associations provided details about their activities. Topic of presentation included history of each association, the number of current members, administrative structure, association publications, professional development efforts, and the general state of cooperation among libraries within each particular geographic area. Clive Philpot provided a brief introduction to the panel. After panelists had spoken, speakers from the audience, including Herb Scherer and Eileen Fry, asked questions.
