Hi! I'd like to share some thoughts about Bartok's opera "Bluebeard's Castle". I think I was quite enjoying when I prepared this work, many ideas came up which often surprised me.
In the video, I focused on the symbolic meaning of the text. I believe we are the Judith, and our entire life is Bluebeard and his castle. "Why we want to open all the doors so badly?" this idea is hitting me all the time. Be honestly, this opera reminds me fo Franz Kafka, or even Dostoyevsky. I think, Bartok's music is quite suitable for Kafka, they are so lonely, maybe they can be good friends!
One thing I want to mention is that this is Wen-Yi's version of Bluebeard's Castle, I couldn't use some solid evidences by other scholars. So, you can treat it in a very easy attitude. Thanks.
