In this session, learn how adding ELA multimodal text sets to science instruction can support learners in accessing and comprehending complex text, meeting the expectations of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core State Standards-English Language Arts (CCSS-ELA). After an introduction to text set components and the why of this practice, participants will engage with disciplinary literacy practices related to scientific inquiry using an inquiry chart.
