Birds and Coffee Chat: MI Rare Birds 2024

Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about five bird species!  Each session we’ll highlight birds that you can find in our SW Michigan backyards, woods, and waters this time of year.

We have invited Elliot Nelson,  Michigan Sea Grant Extension Educator to talk with us about rare birds that have been spotted in Michigan in 2024.

A few birds he will cover are: Burrowing Owl, Great-tailed Grackle, Snowy Plover. Chestnut-collared Longspur and the Black-tailed Gull
