GLAMorous Work: Praxis for Tackling Inequity in Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums
From Meredith Hale on July 19th, 2021
Kevin Talmer Whiteneir Jr.'s presentation shares demographic data that demonstrates that the library and art information professions are overwhelmingly white. He then shares a four-step approach for disrupting these inequities. Whiteneir argues that change must be ideologically-oriented, training-oriented, practically-oriented, and collections-oriented. This presentation was part of the ArLiSNAP / VREPS Fall Conference and took place on November 14, 2020. Julia Murphy and Alex O'Keefe moderated the session.
