Session 5 of the MSU Dairy Team's 2017 Winter Program "First 24 Hours". A program designed to help Michigan Dairy Farms improve the health and well-being of their dairy calves through a focus on the first 24 hours after birth.
This fifth session shares important considerations in handling newborn calves and biosecurity. Tips on dealing with winter calves, and sluggish calves are also shared. Necropsy and euthanasia are discussed as well.
