This session will discuss statewide National Lake Assessment trends with a focus on the inland lake shoreline development metrics. We will also present multiple case studies from around Michigan which used GIS to quantify shoreline development through time, and provide the methods for lake associations to complete these analyses for their lakes. We will close this session with a discussion of some best management practices for inland lake shorelines.
