This presentation will cover treaties and the responsibilities of the Anishinaabe people. I will focus on the Migration Story and the spiritual and cultural importance of Manoomin. Manoomin's environmental and ecological significance will also be discussed and include its habitat, life cycle, harvesting, processing tools, and threats. Opportunities to assist with the restoration of Manoomin in the Great Lakes Basin will also be discussed.
