This symposium focused on ideas and strategies that will assist mid-career academics in making the most of their time at Michigan State University. This session featured a keynote address by Kiernan Mathews, Ed.D., Executive Director and Principal Investigator for the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The program also featured a panel discussion with administrators and mid-career academics, and a set of options for breakout sessions for all symposium participants. In addition to providing a range of productive ideas for individual academics and campus administrative leaders, the symposium provided feedback to the Academic Advancement Network, and its university partners, with planning future development opportunities for the MSU community.
