Description: Facilitating discussion (online or in-person) doesn’t have to be complicated, time-consuming, or difficult to grade. This session provides an overview of Packback Questions for building community and facilitating deeper learning. Packback Questions is an online discussion forum that integrates directly into D2L. Students receive real-time feedback from instructional AI, which coaches students to ask high-quality, open-ended questions and encourage actual discussion. Attendees of this workshop will see live examples of Packback communities and how it is course agnostic and successfully supports all modalities and course sizes.
