Self-enrollment groups in D2L are a simple and easy option for a sign-up sheet. Self-enrollment groups allow students to enroll in a group of their choice and easily switch to a different group. Instructors can view the group enrollments in D2L or download a spreadsheet.
If you need to allow students to book time slots that sync with a calendar, try Microsoft Bookings or Google Calendar. There is also a Zoom integration in D2L (Communication -> Zoom Meetings -> Appointments tab) where students can book time slots; however, the time slots are limited to only one D2L course.
