Responding to an animal
health event at county fairs requires quick thinking, flexibility, and
teamwork. Many times, especially in the case of zoonotic diseases like swine
influenza, multiple organizations have a role in the response. In this webinar,
participants will learn about the resources available from various agencies to
assist fairs when working through zoonotic disease events. We will also discuss
the proactive steps that local fairs can take to build their response team
prior to the county fair. This educational session is a great opportunity
for swine and other animal superintendents, fair managers, fair board members,
MSUE staff and local health department partners to build their skill set and
work to properly prepare their County Fair for an animal health event!
