Use an exported CSV file from the grade book to manually upload grades to D2L. This video will show how to export the file from your course, edit or enter grades on the spreadsheet in Excel, and upload the grades to the D2L grade book. Instructions on changing the default view to display points and switching to spreadsheet view to bulk edit grades in the grade book are also included.
D2L recommends that you set up your grade book with all grade items first. However, it is also possible to create grade items from the CSV file during the import process.
If you enter a grade value that is greater than the value for the grade item in the CSV file, the grade will be capped at the value unless you selected the Can Exceed option when setting up the grade item.
To improve performance when importing grades for large classes, only import grade items that have changed and import by group or section when possible. Only include the username (which includes MSU NetIDs), grade items, and end of line indicator columns.
