Even with the best intentions, course instructors do not always design assessments that align with learning objectives. Assessments can end up measuring the wrong things, much like using a baby thermometer to measure food temperature. How can we evaluate existing assessments and determine what knowledge and skills they aim to measure? Do you want to design assessments that truly measure learners' abilities to achieve the learning objectives? This session will improve your assessment literacy and enhance the quality of your assessment designs.
